How do I sign my child up for lessons in school?
You simply fill in the details on the signup form for the relevant school, and Richard will do the rest.
What are school sign up forms for?
Use the relevant form to register your child for guitar lessons with Richard at school.
Please ask any questions you have before deciding if your child will begin lessons, either before sending the form or by including them clearly in the notes. Since timetables are complex and take a lot of time to set up, it’s much easier if Richard is informed beforehand about any factors that could impact lesson scheduling and pairings.
What happens when I press send on the form?
Once Richard has reviewed the information and added your child to the timetable, he will send you an email to confirm the day and time of their first lesson.
Is my child guaranteed a lesson once I send the form?
Lessons are subject to availability. When Richard is oversubscribed, he will let you know and add your child to a waiting list.
How are does the timetable for lessons work?
Lessons are always on an incremental timetable during school hours. Richard does this in order to ensure that no student misses the same class each week.
When am will I get my invoice for the lessons?
The invoices for the lessons will be sent out at the earliest opportunity at the start of each term and charged per term.
Will my child need their own guitar?
Yes, absolutely, they will. The guitar doesn’t need to be expensive, and nylon strings are gentler on fingers as they get used to playing. They can borrow a guitar for school lessons, but these are well-used and not guaranteed. The student will also need to practise what they are shown in their lessons to make any meaningful progress.
What if we want to cancel our child's guitar lessons with Richard?
Lessons are charged per term, and places are subject to availability.
If your child doesn’t want to continue, you will need to fibe at least 4 weeks’ notice IN WRITING (email richmo rrisguitar66@gmail.com) before the start of term to cancel lessons.
If you fail to give proper notice, you will need to pay a fee of half a term (6 weeks).
